How are Sales Tax Calculated?

Sales Tax is a privilege tax imposed on a retailer engaged in business in North Carolina. Sales Tax is calculated on sales of taxable tangible personal property. The Sales Tax must be stated and charged separately on the Customer's Order Invoice and provided to the Customer at the time of sale. The Sales Tax is paid by the Customer to BLK NICE, LLC , who collects and remits the Sales Tax to the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

The sales prices of our products are subject to a general 4.75% North Carolina Sales Tax plus a local 2.00% Johnston County Sales Tax; for a combined general state and locate Sales Tax rate of 6.75%.
